Welcome to my new blog

I have been putting this off for a long time, but have decided that now is the time for me to enter the blogging world.  I have the blog feature on my Stampin' Up! website, but it seems limited compared to what I see on other's blogs.  I hope to update this one more often now that I have a bit more time on my hands.  I quit working my full time "day job" the end of May.  I wanted to be able to spend more time with my family and devote more time to my Stampin' Up! business without working late into the nights as I have been.

Please hang with me while I try to learn all that is necessary to make this blog interesting and informative for you, my readers.

I'll begin by posting a photo (still need a photo box) of the cards that were made at my last class here at the house.  The pink one was partially CASE'd from an Australian Blogger, Teneale Williams.  I really love her work.  The bird card was a CASE from a swap I received at convention in July.  The original design was by Donna Penix.  I just changed it up a bit....adding layers and a few tiny flowers with pearls.

Pink Card

Stamp sets:  Bring on the Cake, French Foliage, Papaya Collage
Ink: Soft Suede, Pretty In Pink
Accessories: Vanilla Seam Binding, Delicate Designs Folder, Large Scallop Edgelits, Boho Blossom Punch, Pearls, Dimensionals (between each layer of the flowers) Non-SU punch for leafy fronds
Paper: Very vanilla, Pink Pirouette, Pretty in Pink, Soft Suede

Bird Card

Stamp set: Betsy's Blossoms, Saying from From My Heart
Ink: Night of Navy, Old Olive, Primrose Petals, Summer Starfruit
Accessories:  Masking tape, Little Leaves Sizzlit, Pearls, Sponges
Paper: Old Olive, Primrose Petals, Whisper White

Here is the inside of the pink card.  This layout is what I love about Teneale's style!  I use it often  now.

And the inside of the bird card:

Hope you enjoyed seeing these.  Please leave a comment so I know someone actually stopped by!
:)

Thanks,
Sharon

  5. Thanks Sandy. Don't be too impressed! :) This is VERY basic at this point. Danette, you needn't check EVERY day! I won't be that prolific, for sure. But do hope to post more frequently than I did on my SU blog.
