Grandson's Birthday Card

Image
I was inspired by several different cards on Split Coast Stampers using the "I Dig You" stamp set to create a card for my second grandson's first birthday. Most things are popped up, the machinery has crystal effects to give it shine and I punched out the truck wheels to keep from having to cut around all the little tire "bumps"! The neck of the front end loader is stamped with versamark and embossed with pewter embossing powder.  It is all cut out and the loader arm actually moves up and down. The inside is stamped with the "I Dig You" stamp which I markered with black ink just on the Dig you portion and wrote in "We".  Then I stamped the "Grandson" stamp from the set Loved Ones also markered with black, then red and blue on the truck!  Fun card to make.  Of course, he won't appreciate it at ALL!  ha Outside Inside Soon it's time to head off to the party! Have a great Sunday. skm

January Stamp Camp West

Image
Yesterday we had a GREAT turn out at Stamp Camp West.  The cards were great and the food, prepared by Tami Wasson, was wonderful!  I'm pretty sure everyone had a great time. Here is the card that I had at my table.  I will share some of the others soon. Stamp set:  Oh Hello Ink: Crumb Cake and Island Indigo Paper: Crumb Cake, Baja Breeze, Very Vanilla Accessories: Oval and Labels Framelits, SAB Ribbon, Chevron and Perfect Polka Dots Embossing folders, Crystal Effects The front vanilla pieces were ALL cut at once with the second largest label framelit and two smaller oval framelits.  Great technique for saving paper!  The chevron stamped image is put down flat on the baja layer and the outer and inner layers are popped up.  The bow was tied separately and put on with a glue dot.  The flower was stamped and second time, the blossom part covered in Crystal Effects and then cut out and popped up onto the oval.  Fun card and I love the...

Leadership!!!!!

Image
Stampin' up! Just announced at our Leadership conference, that they are going to offer a monthly subscription kit! This is a BRAND NEW concept for them!! This will be the solution for those of you who feel you can't participate in this hobby due to: 1. Lack of space 2. Lack of time 3. Lack of creativity These monthly kits will have everything you need to create that month's project included except for scissors and adhesive!!!! The subscription will be on-going until cancelled (which can be done at anytime). They are offering a one-time "try it" kit for those that hesitate to commit. Another special kit will be the first "welcome" kit that will include a clear block for future use. Now, if I were better at this new IPad of mine, I'd put a photo on here of the kit we were given!!! But, I will have to do that later! Ok, let's try this.....

Money Holders

Image
Here is a photo of some money holders I made for the kids on Christmas.  They were quick and easy to make. Well, dang it!~  I have tried for two days now to add photos to this blog but it won't allow it from my computer.  I am outwitted by this blogging world!  I'll have to wait until I find someone who can help!  Finally got some help.  I belong to a yahoo group for demos and they are an amazing resource!  So very kind and helpful. I will hopefully be able to post again tomorrow.  I have several things I want to share with you all! Bye bye for now. skm
