Can you believe it?

February is winding to a close!  I'm amazed, as usual, at how fast this year is progressing! this particular case I'm pleased.  My daughter is expecting her first baby on 3/3/13.  The sooner we get there, the happier we will all be!  The waiting is SO hard!

I have a card to share today.  It is the project that I will be offering tomorrow at our Stamp Camp West.

It is a case of this card that I found on Pinterest.  LOVE that site!

Stamps:  Creative Elements, Petite Pairs
Ink:  Island Indigo, Basic Black
Markers: Lucky Limeade, Melon Mambo, Island indigo, Pool Party
Accessories:  2 3/8" circle, Elegant Butterfly, and Bitty Butterfly punches, Indigo baker's twine, pearls and miscellaneous blue buttons from my "stash".

We have a full house tomorrow so hope all of them enjoy this card!

Bye for now,

Tami's February Cards

Here are Tami's great cards for our class this month.  She excels at masculine cards.....whereas I do NOT.

This first one is so fun.  If you have a fisherman in your family this would be perfect for him! Tami's inspiration for this card can be found here.

Stamp:  By the Tide and Netting
Ink: Soft Suede
Paper: Always Artichoke, Island Indigo, Soft Suede
Accessories:  Chevron and Square Lattice Embossing Folders, I forget which size circle punch....2 1/4 I think.  Wooden shish-ka-bob skewers.

Tami's other card is OH so beautiful.....and far from masculine!  I love it.

Stamps:  Swallowtail, Affection Collection, En Francais
Inks:  Crumb Cake, Primrose Petals
Accessories: Goosebumps (non SU) and Champagne shimmer paint/alcohol mist, Flower, Vanilla Seam Binding, Rhinestones

The inside is JUST as pretty.......

Well, that's it for today!  Hope those of you in the storm areas are getting dug out!  We lucked out here and just barely got a little skiff of snow yesterday.  Today (Sunday) it doesn't look like we'll get any either.  The mountain got buried and that is a good thing for the ski industry.  That's where the snow belongs!  ;-)

Have a great rest of the day.....

Floral Frames Class

I'm finally getting around to posting photos of all the amazing frames the ladies made a couple weeks ago at our January Gift and Gab class.  ALL the flowers are handmade with paper cut from punches or dies.  Most are SU, some are not.  We had such fun with these, but they WERE time-consuming.  These ladies are all friends now, so we don't mind spending time with them!  Rochelle and I will be doing more Gift and Gab classes in the future so watch for the invite on my website or in your e-mail!

Pam's Frame

Rochelle's Frame - note the ladybug!  So cute! Made with Sharpee markers on pearls!

This is Mickie's artwork outside of the frame. - Note the "Bees" !  Darling!

This was my prototype.  I will use it as a frame for a photo since I don't like the "love" on there.

This is Vernie's masterpiece.

Sherry's amazing artwork.

A few directions.  I "made up" the bottom flower trying to make it look like a lilac.

This is Rochelle's.  She worked long and hard on the gladioli
Last but not least, is Amy's beautiful frame!  However, for some reason Blogger INSISTS on putting it in here upside down!!!!!!!

That's it for today.

Have a great day.

February Card Class

For my February cards I used some stuff from my "stash" that are not Stampin' Up!  However, the paper and ink is SU.

The first card is my Valentine for my hubby.  We don't get all sweetie/mushy with each other and I felt this stamp set worked!

Isn't she cute!  ;-)

My other card does feature a Stampin' Up! stamp from the Sale-A-Bration set "Feeling Sentimental".  I just love this set!  I had found a picture out on the "net" that I loved and this stamp set, as well as a die I had in my "stash" were perfect for it!  I had a picture in my mind of what I wanted to do, and found the perfect embossing folder in my stuff that I had had for years and had never used.

This was in the inspiration photo.  Isn't it awesome.  However, I don't remember where the heck I got it!
Here is my card:
The paper is Sahara Sand.  The telephone booth was stamped twice.  Once on Real Red...cut out...and crystal effects added to each window.  The second one was stamped on Cherry Cobbler, cut out, then the window area was removed with an Xacto blade and this layer was popped up onto the other layer to give it some dimension.  A second piece (about 1.5") was textured, torn, and popped up to be the "cobblestone". The whole front was then "daubered" with whisper white.  Liquid pearls was added to the snowflakes and the roof tops.  A 1/4 yellow circle was added to the lamp post for a light bulb.

Our new "Oh Hello" stamp was PERFECT for the inside!
These next photos were of the little Valentine gift I made for all the attendees.
They were made using the awesome doilies from our new Mini.  A few punched pieces, some bakers twine and there you have it!  There were M & M's inside.

This was stamped on the back.  It was from the new set "My Little Valentine"

Our class has a pot-luck lunch.  The food is always FABULOUS, but every once in awhile something extraordinary shows up.  Such was the case yesterday.
Danette brought this amazing salad.  It was called "Cheeseburger Salad" and honest it tasted like a cheeseburger.  It was SO delicious, but the taste was secondary to the appearance.  Take a look at THIS:
Isn't it AMAZING!  The bread-sticks around the side are actually sliced and toasted sesame seed hamberger buns!
Well, I think I've gone on long enough for today.  Our classes are always SO much fun.  We have the most amazing group that come to visit with us.  I will show you Tami's cards tomorrow!
Enjoy the Super Bowl today if it's to your taste.  Our wonderful Bronco's didn't make it, but I'll be watching to see the commercials and the entertainment.
Ta ta for now!
